If you are going to be applying for faculty positions, you will be asked to submit a variety of materials including your CV, a Research Statement, a Teaching Statement and a Diversity Statement. This workshop will focus on preparing your CV and the Research Statement. In this workshop, you'll learn the difference between a CV and a Resume and how to make your CV well organized for the positions of interest. You'll also learn about the fundamental elements you'll need to include for your Research Statement (sometimes called a Statement of Research Goals, Statement of Research Interests, or Research Agenda). This is not just an opportunity to present your scholarly accomplishments but also propose your research plans and how they will fit well with the institution you are applying to. Come get a quick primer on both these documents, where to find some good templates and examples, and get a chance to begin planning/working on your own (bring a laptop or a notepad/pen)!
Note: Commons building request the use of a face mask inside of the building.
