PROMISE invites all UMBC graduate students and postdocs to come learn the DOs and DON'Ts of making an effective research poster in any discipline. In this session, you'll see examples of effective and ineffective posters, discuss a new poster design model that is gaining traction nationally, and learn about affordable printing options here on campus. There will even be time for scholars who have a poster in progress to get some feedback. Join us for lunch and to hear from these poster experts:
- Joseph School, Professor of Geography & Environmental Systems, UMBC
- Melissa Penley Cormier, Manager of Research Graphics, College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, UMBC
- Semhar Yohannes, Science Reference and Instruction Librarian, UMBC
